Michael Keller has been closely connected to Lake Tahoe his entire life. Michael was born in Truckee and was initially raised in North Lake Tahoe. Michael grew up spending summers and many weekends at his family’s vacation home at the lake. Michael moved to Tahoe full-time in 1999 and earned an associate’s degree from Lake Tahoe Community College before transferring to the University of California at Santa Cruz where he completed his bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Economics.
In contrast to many part-time agents, Michael is very active in the local real estate market and community. Michael has over 20 years of experience as a licensed Realtor® in the Lake Tahoe Area and started his brokerage Keller Properties in 2006. Over the past several years Michael has been a consistent top producer in the area. In 2020 Michael closed 67 transaction sides valued at over $96,000,000 which set an all-time sales volume record for the entire South Tahoe MLS. Notable sales include multiple record-setting transactions in Tahoe’s top neighborhoods and settings. With over 360 career transactions valued at nearly $350m, Michael has extensive experience you can trust. Specialties include lakefront properties, waterfront Tahoe Keys homes, new construction, and investment properties. Michael has also been voted the “Best of Tahoe” Agent/Brokerage in the Tahoe Daily Tribune’s annual rankings of local businesses in 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2020. Michael also owns investment properties in both South Lake Tahoe and on the Big Island of Hawaii allowing him direct insight and understanding of investment and rental property dynamics.
Some of Michael’s community involvement includes serving as a director on the Barton Hospital Foundation Board, as well as serving on the Tahoe Keys property owners' board of directors and the board of the Sustainable Community Alliance. Michael’s knowledge of economics, investment, and the local market are valuable assets for his clients who want to either maximize their return on a sale or make an educated purchase.
When he’s not working hard representing his clients, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife Siobhan and his son Anderson who turned 6 in January 2024. Michael’s hobbies include skiing, snowboarding, hiking, mountain biking, flying, and spending any free time he can find out on the Lake.
